Let’s fight together

Traditional dances have changed my entire life. I found myself surrounded not only by dance, but also by intelligent people who want to know themselves better. It has already been a year since I became a small part of this big community.

It may seem that being a doctor leaves no time for anything else — I used to think so too, until I joined the “Hark” group. My motivation to attend every class and dance even more grew so much that now I don’t miss a single session. Join us, learn, discover yourself, and spread Armenian culture.

I like that I can completely disconnect from everyday problems and spend nearly two hours focusing and immersing myself in Armenian culture. I never thought Armenian dances would interest me, but they are contagious — after one class, you simply can’t stop.

I learned about the dances at the Cascade, when I happened to see people who didn’t know each other at all dancing together, learning, and spreading our authentic culture. Then I immediately wrote to Karin’s page and joined the “Vanakn” group. It was one of the best decisions of my life.

I have been dancing in “Andok” for several years now, and it’s hard to imagine myself without traditional culture. I found out about the group by chance on Facebook, since they were holding a trial class in my city, Charentsavan. This is where I can express myself and better understand who I am, and who we are as a nation.
