Establishment
Since 2017, the Harq Traditional Dance Group has served as a cultural bridge, uniting around 300 people — not only Armenians, but also representatives of other nations who, inspired by the beauty and depth of Armenian dance, have become part of this unique tradition. Through the movement of soul and body, they bring our national culture to life. They do not merely dance to the rhythm — they tell a story in the language of movement.
Traditional dance is not only an art form but also a powerful psychological force. Within the group, teaching traditional dance helps to raise the fighting spirit, strengthen national self-awareness, and deepen the understanding of our roots and the value system passed down by our ancestors. In doing so, it nurtures unity across generations and shapes a collective sense of “we.”
Through dances, Harq revitalizes the strength and spiritual depth of the ancestors, recalls highly significant rituals and traditions, and becomes a source of inspiration for living and creating in the present.
