Bekor is a group of individuals who deeply value traditional culture and who regularly contribute to its preservation and development.We believe that the people are the greatest creators, and we must learn from them.

Establishment
The Bekor Traditional Song and Dance Group was founded in 2018 by dance instructor Harutyun Baghdasaryan.Throughout its years of activity, the group has performed in public performances and dance instruction (both in Yerevan and in the regions of the Republic of Armenia) and through three-month dance instruction courses. Bekor aims to familiarize and engage a wide segment of the public with Armenian culture through Armenian national dances.
Since its creation, the group has regularly conducted group dance instruction and performances, presenting itself to the public in various formats.Even during the pandemic, the group did not cease its activities; it moved to digital platforms and continued its work in support of national cultural programs and goals.
In November 2023, group members participated in a concert organized by the “Soldier’s Home” Rehabilitation Center, titled “To My Homeland”. Thanks to the efforts of the group and the boys from the rehabilitation center, they jointly presented proud and strong national dances to the audience.
The goal of the concert was to demonstrate the unity of soul, body, and will — a harmony made possible through national dance. The performance was the culmination of months of work led by the group’s dance instructor, Harutyun Baghdasaryan, who worked with participants facing musculoskeletal challenges.
New recordings
In November 2023, the Bekor Traditional Song and Dance Group’s concert-performance, titled “Your Name is Armenia,” took place.
Within the framework of the concert-performance, the group initiated and carried out the recording of 11 new dance melodies, bringing a new sound and understanding.
